WHY CREATING INDUSTRIES? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
We must develop our own industries for our own people so people do not have to work for dirt cheap for foreign companies. On top of that, with continuous heavy inflation, uncontrolled housing and food cost, many continue to live in poverty. They wake up each day with emptiness and go to bed each night with hopelessness... We know of many young students studying so hard for 4 years with every penny their parents saved. After graduation, they either must work at a coffee shop serving coffees for $100/mo or stay home and live in sorrow... This is NOT the answer for the strength of a nation. This is NOT how we can be proud of ourselves as Vietnamese. But we cannot rush to pursue just any industry, such as ship-building, automotive, etc. when we do not have the support service and other industrial and business foundations for them. (1) With our agricultural developments, we need to quickly develop related industries, materials, equipment and supplies for agriculture anyway. We will use our agriculture and related industries to form a base to build other industries. This is the right direction for us to take. (2) There are various existing light industrial products with heavy domestic consumption for us to build our own domestic manufacturing for and we can do them far better than existing imports. We must use create policies to support the manufacturing of these products in Vietnam and VINAREX has the capability to build these industries if we have some support from the government and local businesses. (3) There are numerous other industrial needs in Vietnam and we will find ways to convert these needs into permanent industries in Vietnam. VINAREX has more than sufficient experience in these industries and we have more than enough skilled workers to manufacture them. Agricultural plans reach BREAKEVEN POINTS at from 1.5 to 4.5 years, depending on types (vegetable, roots, fruits to processed products). After break-even points, agricultural crops are profitable. From 1.5 to 4.5 years, OUR INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING PLANS are designed to offset such negative cash flow if we don't want to touch our cash reserves or to borrow. Most of our industrial manufacturing are designed to reach breakeven point at 1/2 to 1 year by selecting industrial products with at least 1 or more of these characteristics such as (1) High domestic consumption to have high loan qualification rate (2) High profit margin to reach profitable level quicker (3) Can count on labor use as Vietnam's labor supply is high and (4) High probability of getting assistance from funding sources and finally (5) if such industry require low investment. Additionally, we selective only the industries that are specialized, with no significant competition and industries that we have done in the past for other locations or other countries. In conclusion, economic planning in Vietnam under financially restraint conditions requires innovative strategies, in-dept feasibility analysis and hard work. These 3 critical factors combined makes this plan more feasible in Vietnam: (A) The high availability of willing and able labor force, (B) Our knowledge and experience in developing various industries, and (C) The participation of engineers, scientists in Vietnam and overseas. We will quickly train the engineers and scientists in Vietnam so they can quickly set up these industrial plans as quickly as possible. We are confident in this process and its prospect of success as long as we have the strong support and cooperation of the Government of Vietnam and the assistance of International organizations and governments. We can make Vietnam a model of success if we can organize and develop industries with broader markets overseas instead of competing against each others with limited markets. |
